The workshop has been conducted with 12 participants. While workshops typically last for three hours, the Mitsui Mining and Smelting Group emphasized the importance of participants discovering and internalizing the connection between their work and carbon neutrality. As a result, we extended the discussion time for action planning, providing a total program of four hours.
Before the discussion part, a representative from the Mitsui Kinzoku Group introduced their existing initiatives. This not only helped everyone gain a shared understanding of the company’s efforts but also reinforced the importance of internal collaboration for executing actions.
During the discussion, there was lively debate about the challenges and solutions for promoting actions, as well as more effective actions. In the post-workshop survey, participants reported an average improvement of over 50% in their understanding of carbon neutrality compared to before the workshop, along with many enthusiastic comments about their willingness to implement actions in their work.
