Codo Advisory Registered in Ministry of the Environment’s Green Bond Registered Issuance Supporters System – External Review Division

Codo Advisory, Inc. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Fukuoka) is proud to announce its official registration in the External Review Division of the Green Bond Registered Issuance Supporter System, an initiative led by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment (MOE). Based on this registration, Codo Advisory is now publicly listed as part of the External Review Division on the Registered Issuance Supporter System’s official webpage.

About the Registered Issuance Supporters System

The Green Finance Supporters System was established by the MOE to promote the sound growth of green bonds and sustainability-linked markets. The framework registers financial institutions and external review bodies that demonstrate credibility and reliability in supporting green finance initiatives. As a registered supporter, Codo Advisory is now authorized to assist companies applying for subsidies under the MOE’s “Subsidy for Carbon Dioxide Emission Reduction Measures” program, helping drive the transition toward a decarbonized economy.

Codo Advisory’s Expertise

Codo Advisory is Japan’s first licensed consultant under the ACT (Accelerate Climate Transition) methodology, developed by the French government agency ADEME. This unique expertise positions the firm to provide effective and trustworthy low-carbon transition planning support. In its green and sustainable finance services, Codo Advisory applies a proprietary ESG assessment framework rooted in ACT principles. This enables the firm to robustly evaluate the sustainability contribution of client-set KPIs and SPTs, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Evaluations are conducted in alignment with national and international standards and, where appropriate, enhanced with original SDG-linked indicators to ensure high credibility and clarity for third-party stakeholders.

With this registration, Codo Advisory aims to play an even greater role in advancing sustainable finance across Japan. The firm remains committed to supporting the realization of a decarbonized, resilient, and sustainable society through expert analysis, planning, and advisory services.
