How to raise climate literacy within companies, to trigger an accelerated low-carbon transition? Solutions and initiatives from Europe and Japan.
Event Introduction
Over the past decade, climate action has been treated as a siloed matter, relegated to designated sustainability departments and teams while most of the organization remained unaffected. These departments faced an uphill climb as they sought to drive the low-carbon transformation. They had to explain their proposed actions and convince every other department why these actions were a vital part of the corporate strategy.
Things are now changing. Just as the digital transformation started with lone IT departments but directly impacts every aspect of corporate activity, the zero-carbon transition is now reaching everyone, regardless of job, hierarchy level, etc.
Action needs education. Understanding why these actions are required motivates and empowers people at every level of implementation and ensures the measures taken are sufficiently grounded in science to be truly effective.
To make climate science accessible to all, over the past few years, innovators have developed a new range of educational solutions, ranging from teambuilding workshops to gamification and e-learning platforms.
In this event organized by Codo Advisory for Earth Day 2023, innovators and early adopters from France and Japan will highlight how science-based education on climate change can be made accessible to all employees, contributing to the advancement of each firm’s own decarbonization journey.
